- Well, Red Herring is at it again. Making "That's What She Said" jokes? Eating Taco Bell? No. Well, ok probably. But aside from that, we're revolutionizing the concert experience, conventions be damned! Each band member has picked three songs they would love to cover no matter how under-the-radar or awesome they are. You won't hear these songs covered by any other band anywhere except....well maybe the original groups themselves. And since we love our fans so....we're opening it up to you!! Tell us what songs YOU want to hear and we'll pick from the pool three lucky fan picks and rock the shite out of them! To cast your vote you can email us or head over to the Facebook event and write it on the wall. Or just yell at us on the streets, we'll get the message.....but if you don't cast your vote we definitely won't be playing your personal Freebird. So get involved and we'll see you there. See the shows section for more details.
- What's new? What's not new?! That's right we have been working tirelessly recording our new works for the upcoming sophmore effort from Red Herring, AQDAJGS. To find out what that acronym means shoot us an email or come to a show and ask. We may just reveal one letter a week until the album release. There have also been some changes in the lineup of Red Herring, though our spirit and immaturity endures. Founding member and drummer Ethan Link has moved to Chicago to pursue his career in acting. We wish him the best and we will no doubt be seeing him on a large screen or at least mid-sized stage soon. Stepping up to fill the spot is the manic mechanical engineer, Jeff Elberling. With his mathematical precision on drums and near endless supply of scientific trivia, he's proved uselful on drums and....ummm in quiz bowl. To learn more about the newest Red Herring check out the bios section. We also may be adding some more new members so check back often, or better yet, come out to one of our shows and meet the gang! Check our page or myspace for upcoming shows, fan-exclusive preview tracks of the new material or just drop us a line at redherringband@hotmail.com to get in on the action. Remember..Red Herring....it's not a band....it's a way of life!!! (Well, technically it's also still a band.)
- It may have been awhile since we've seen a lot of you, as we haven't played many shows recently. However, we're all still alive and kickin. In fact we have been busy working on recording the mountain of new epics we've written over the past year. We're almost ready to drop an EP of some of theses timeless works and are pumped for you all to hear them. You can get a taste of some of them on our myspace and at our upcoming shows for the rest. Check out our shows page as we are actively scheduling gigs and should be coming to your area soon! If not, let us know where you want us to play and we'll talk to the venue. Only you can bring home the raw reggae-rocktitude of Red Herring. And prevent forest fires.
